Elementary Boundary Review

ELEMENTARY BOUNDARY REVIEW

To prepare for the opening of our new Fife Elementary School, we conducted a school boundary review process in the fall of 2020.

We partnered with FLO Analytics, a regional consulting company that specializes in data-driven school boundary review services.  Our dual objective was to provide adequate space at our K-5 schools, while balancing equity in access to educational opportunities. We focused only on elementary boundaries. This study did not impact our secondary school boundaries.

FLO Analytics took the lead in guiding a boundary review committee and developed a community engagement framework, and assessed enrollment patterns and forecasts. The boundary review process resulted in recommendations that guided the planning and implementation of potential reconfigured elementary attendance areas. FLO Analytics worked collaboratively with committee members from our community and Fife Public Schools staff. We were committed to ensuring our community was informed throughout the process, and that all voices were heard and recommendations were thorough and transparent.

During the month of August/beginning of September, families throughout the district were surveyed to determine expectations and values across the district to inform the boundary review process.

The Elementary Boundary Review Committee met throughout October and November and made a recommendation to the school board in December. Visit the meetings page for agendas, minutes, and presentations from each meeting.

Using the map linked below, families are able to see which school their child will attend.
